Getting a Rolex for low price is a myth. Let alone a really hard-to-get custom watch by Slawn, the UK artist who’s designed BRIT Award trophies, doodled on planes and customised Ferraris. Back in June, the viral artist designed a hand-made perfect replica Rolex Datejust 41mm on a Jubilee bracelet. It was dropped in a limited run of 10, and quickly landed a place in the watch boxes of rappers Stormzy, Lil Yachty and Dave.
Now one of the 10 watches are back up for grabs, but not for the crazy figures you might think. In the summer, London-based pre-owned online fake watches and luxury specialist Suite Nine acquired one the mega-rare tickers. At first it was listed online and bagged a fair bit of interest from the off. “We had Cruz Beckham come and look at the watch and a few other [well-known] people,” says founder Warren Feather. Suite Nine was then approached by Raforte, a market place for luxury raffles, a move which opened the Swiss made replica watches up to a load more potential buyers.
Art and UK cheap super clone watches collabs “cross two markets of collectors,” says Feather. “So a collector of horology might be an older person. But it brings the age down and the demographic that might be entering the space.”
There are 15,000 slots available for £10 each. If you’re wondering how it works, Raforte will unveil the winner of the raffle live , so you can see the draw in real time. And on top of that, Suite Nine will be donating £10,000 to the winner’s charity of choice.
But it’s not the first time the ‘Slawnex’ has been raffled on social media. “When Slawn first released the watches he actually raffled one off himself. When they were first released, he did an Instagram Live, where I think you had to buy a best copy Rolex Slawn T-shirt, which also gave you an entry to win one of the watches as well,” adds Suite Nine’s Daniel Parsons.
Raffles have always been a great way of raising money. But if you fancy bagging a rare high quality replica Rolex rather than some chocolates or bottle of booze, now’s your chance.
